I finally found a piece of art there that \u00e2\u20ac\u02dccalled\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 to me, and only afterwards found out that the artist is a \u00e2\u20ac\u0153daughter\u00ef\u00bf\u00bd? of Karen\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s.  Aboriginal people relate to each other and everyone strictly, and only, by family structure.  So Karen and Jim were \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcadopted\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 by a \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcfamily\u00e2\u20ac\u2122, and thereafter were considered sister, or brother, or mother, or daughter, or aunt, or niece, etc., and that relationship endures forever.<\/p>\n<p>We spent our last night bush-camping in Ichinpiri, a lovely spot just below a beautiful rock waterhole, which we explored the next morning. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today we drove back into the Lands, to Ernabella, where Jim and Karen and the boys spent a great deal of time \u00e2\u20ac\u201c it was the \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcbase\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 of their work.
